About Rashme
History
Rashme’s pursuit of oil painting and journey through the arts hails primarily through self - education. Her passion to learn, experiment, and grow has fueled her artistic evolution. To her, each canvas is a lesson and every challenge is an opportunity to refine her craft.
After her retirement as an auditor from Government Service, she moved to Florida with her husband. She lives steps away from the ocean, and she finds meaningful inspiration from the landscape and sea life. Many of her pieces reflect both color and brightness as she strives to create works that transport others to the serenity of the sea.
Inspirations
Additionally, Rashme and her husband love to travel, and she will often use photographs from her excursions as inspiration for her paintings. As an emerging artist, she borders on both fine and abstract expressionism, often combining the two. She loves nature and her work will often include mountains, ocean, boats, underwater life, natural landscapes in oil and acrylic, although she has recently started experimenting with alcohol inks. Every painting in her collection has given her profound joy and she hopes that, through her lens, others may also get a taste of the vivid essence of scenes that inspire her.
Energy
She is likewise inspired by the color, wildness and creativity of springtime and her work will often showcase vibrant blooms throughout the seasons. Rashme also exhibits a keen interest in portraying the dynamic energy of women. Her interpretation goes beyond aesthetics, delving into the strength, grace and complexity that defines the multifaceted nature of womanhood.
Some of her notable recognitions and exhibitions marking her artistic journey include the following:
- She has been a member of Broward Art Guild (BAG).
- She has participated in BAG’s program “Art around town” . A program offered by the guild to the local artist to hang their paintings in the libraries and governmental offices.
- She has participated regularly in the Broward Art guild’s monthly exhibitions.
- In 2022 she participated in Art extravaganza held in Pembroke Pines, Florida.
- She was invited to present three of her paintings in an art exhibition “Oceans Away” held at GALLERYone - A DoubleTree, Suites by Hilton, Fort Lauderdale FL 33304.
- She presented her paintings in a booth in “Unity in the Community “ held in Pompano Beach
- She received special recognition for her abstract painting from Lightspacetime.Art in their 14th Abstract Art Exhibition.
- She won another recognition award from lightspace time.Art summer online exhibition.
- She participated in the 73rd anniversary member exhibit of the Broward Art Guild.
- She also participated in ART13 little art gallery in FT. Lauderdale
- She displayed her paintings at the Thrive Art district for 3 months.
- She held her solo art show at the Broward Art Guild, Florida in 2024
- She is planning to hold 2 solo shows in 2026.
